What the work covers

SCOPE OF WORK

Assessments & statements

Full traffic and parking impact assessments, or the shorter statement when that is all your council actually requires.

Trip generation & distribution

Referenced to TfNSW guidance and surveyed rates, with the working shown.

Parking demand

Assessment against DCP and TfNSW rates, including reduction justifications where the evidence supports them.

Access & sight distance

Site access review against AS 2890 and the sight distance the road actually provides.

Pre-lodgement checks

Problems caught while the design is still cheap to change, before council sees the plans.

RFI support

If council asks questions, the engineer who wrote the report answers them, point by point.

When your condition says…

DECODED
…the development application shall be accompanied by a Traffic and Parking Impact Assessment prepared by a suitably qualified traffic engineer…

You need this service. A full assessment signed by a qualified traffic engineer. Send the architectural plans and we will confirm the scope your council expects.

…demonstrate that the proposal will not adversely impact the operation of the surrounding road network…

Usually a TIA with intersection analysis. Whether modelling is needed depends on scale and council triggers. We will tell you before you commit — that advice costs nothing.

Common questions

FROM THE FULL FAQ
Do I need a traffic impact assessment for my development application?

It depends on the scale of the development and your council’s triggers. Parking numbers, trip generation and land use type are the usual thresholds. Send us the site address and proposal and we will tell you whether you need a full assessment, a shorter statement, or nothing at all.

How much does a traffic report cost?

It depends on the scope, which is why we do not publish a rate card. What we do promise: a fixed fee in writing within one business day of sending us the details, and the fee you accept is the fee you pay.

What do you need from me to give a fee proposal?

The site address, architectural plans if they exist, and the condition or council letter you are working to. From that we can scope the work and return a fixed fee within one business day.

Next step

Send the site address and the detail. Fee lands tomorrow.
