Site-specific TGS drawings ready for road occupancy licence lodgement or setup on the road — drawn by people connected to the crews who implement schemes every morning, so what we draw can actually be built.
Same-week turnaround availableEvery sign, cone line, barrier and device placed to AS 1742.3 with spacing shown, not implied.
Taper lengths, lateral shifts and working clearances calculated for the posted speed and annotated with the source figure.
Footpath closures, alternate routes and crossing points that a council transport officer will accept.
Plant access, truck ingress/egress and reversing arrangements coordinated with the scheme, not bolted on.
Lodgement with TfNSW or council, including responses through the review cycle until it is approved.
If the reviewer wants a change, revisions come back fast — the drawing register tracks every issue.
| Rev | Milestone | What happens | Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| REV 0 | Scope & fee | You send the site address, the works or development detail, and the condition or council letter you are working to. We return a written scope and a fixed fee. | 1 BUSINESS DAY |
| REV A | Draft issue | The document is prepared against the actual site and road environment, then issued to you for comment before anything goes near an authority. | AGREED IN FEE |
| REV B | Your review | You and your team mark up anything that will not work in practice. We would rather hear it now than after lodgement. | YOUR PACE |
| REV C | Issued for lodgement | Final documents issued with full title block and revision history. If an authority reviews it, we support the review cycle until sign-off. | ON THE DATE AGREED |
“…a Traffic Guidance Scheme prepared by an appropriately qualified person shall be submitted prior to the commencement of works…”
You need this service. A site-specific TGS drawn to AS 1742.3 by a designer qualified to SafeWork NSW requirements — a generic scheme from a manual will not be accepted.
“…works within the road reserve require a Road Occupancy Licence issued by Transport for NSW…”
You need a TGS package plus lodgement. The ROL application is assessed on the scheme. We prepare the package and handle the review cycle.
“…traffic control shall be implemented in accordance with a certified traffic control plan…”
Older wording — usually means a TGS. “TCP” is the superseded term. We draw to the current standard and note the equivalence for the certifier.
That is the founding premise of the firm. Sightline was started by the team behind T&S Traffic Control — people who spent years implementing other consultancies’ schemes and finding the gaps at the kerb. Every scheme is checked against how a crew will physically build it.
The honest answer lands in your fee proposal, because it depends on the road environment and whether an ROL is involved. Same-week is routinely achievable for straightforward schemes. If it is urgent, say so and we will call you.
No — Sightline is engineering only, so the fee never depends on the answer getting bigger. When implementation is needed we can refer it, including to T&S Traffic Control, the company our founders also run. We disclose that relationship every time, and the choice of provider is always yours.
